VENE MEREN SYLIIN / IT WAS A FINE BOAT
Veneen luokse päästiin toissapäivänä. Se oli menettänyt mastonsa ja sisälle oli päässyt vettä. Vene oli ilmeisesti liian huonossa kunnossa pelastettavaksi, joten omistaja Richard Tolkien päätti upotuttaa sen. Veneen ajelehtimaan jättäminen olisi joka tapauksessa ollut turvallisuusriski muille merenkulkijoille.
Purjehtijoiden sympatiat ovat veneen puolella. Se oli varma ja hyvä vene, jolla oli mahtava purjehdushistoria.

Owner of the boat Richard Tolkien made the decision to submerge the boat yesterday. She had lost her mast and there was already water inside. In general, if the boat cannot be rescued, it must be submerged due to otherwise it is a big risk for others at sea.
