UPWIND DELIVERY

Arrived in Gosport today at 4 a.m. After leaving Helsinki, Finland on Monday 9th afternoon we had strong winds, stormy winds and finally after Kiel lighter winds but 90% of all upwind.

Baltic Sea did not want to let us go. Had to work hard and sleep little. Stayed overnight in Kiel channel because no traffic when dark. Sun rised around 4 am so the layover offered not so much rest after all.

The crew was: me, Transat Jacques Vabre co-skipper Mikey Ferguson and core team member Turo Nummi who works at North Sails.

We got totally 2340 km = 1300 NM to Ariel2’s log.
