BYE BYE FINLAND!

We departed our home port in Helsinki on Thursday evening. What made it so special was that now it was for the mighty Vendée Globe around the world. So, it really was saying goodbye to my home country.

There is a lot of work ahead in Caen where Imoca Stark is sailing next. But let’s still enjoy the amazing atmosphere of leaving Finland.

I want to thank everybody who came to watch on shore, by boats to sea, by aircrafts on air and followers through the social media. I thank my team and all the numerous people working with Imoca Stark last week. I thank my partners who have made all this possible so far. You all touched my heart very deeply. Everybody’s hearts!
